Jerrell
Afterschool Program and Camp Hale
Site Coordinator of After School Program
and Director of Camp Hale
With USES since 1994, staff since 2003
In your time at USES, what has been your greatest personal achievement?
My current position right now. My career starting with this agency as youth, going through the ranks at Camp Hale, finding a good job in Boston, excelling, and becoming the director of After School Program and Camp Hale combined. To make both of these programs more successful is my goal, my passion, and my greatest achievement thus far.
On a day-to-day basis, who or what inspires you?
My inspiration would have to be children and not only them but my mom. She showed me why it was important to love children and to make their lives positive and healthy, and to help them develop. I can help people want to be better individuals. And that’s from my mother’s inspiration.
What is USES to you?
Community. Love. Friendship. Support. Successful stories. Successful people. And I feel like I’m proof of that. USES offers people like me opportunities to be successful. I started from the community, and I met a lot of people who wanted me to be successful and made me be successful. We represent the community and helping individuals to be successful, to feel loved, supported, and connected to the community.
